The video of Biden's conversation with the media was posted on Twitter by a DC journalist Alex Raufoglu.
Asked whether it was time to provide Ukraine with ATACMS missiles after the massive Russian attacks on Kyiv, the US president replied that the White House was still considering this option.
“That’s still in play,” Biden said.
He also noted that the attacks on Kyiv did not come as a surprise, so the US should continue to provide Ukraine with everything it needs.
"That’s why we have to continue to give Ukraine all they need," Biden emphasized.
On 1 April, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley said that the US will not supply Ukraine with long-range ATACMS missiles, but instead is considering other options to give the Ukrainian Armed Forces more capabilities on the battlefield.
On 26 May, US congressmen from both parties called on Joe Biden to send ATACMS missiles to Ukraine.
