Temporary protection visas for Ukrainians have been extended until end of March 2024 in Czech Republic
The government of the Czech Republic decided to extend temporary protection visas for Ukrainians until the end of March 2024
This is reported on Czech Radio.
For now, the term was limited to March 2023. As noted by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic, Vit Rakushan, the draft decision should be considered by the parliament.
To extend a visa, citizens of Ukraine must register first in electronic form, and then in person. The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic added that the procedure will allow state structures to find out how many citizens are permanently in the country.
In the Czech Republic, the status of temporary protection gives the right to use the system of health care, education and provides free access to the labour market.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Czech Republic has issued 463,804 temporary protection visas to Ukrainians.
