Szijjártó says Hungary is being dragged into war in Ukraine
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto says that his country is being dragged into the war in Ukraine, but Budapest is strongly opposed to it

Szijjártó made the statement on Facebook.
"They want to drag us into a war in a neighboring country, but we are standing our ground because the will of the Hungarian people is clear: we must stay out of this war," the minister said.
He claims that the country has received "new proposals from the parties to the war, this time about jointly buying ammunition and transferring it to Ukraine." Szijjártó emphasized that Hungary will not change its position and will not supply weapons to Ukraine.

Earlier, Szijjártó called on US and Russian Presidents Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin to sit down to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine.
