The general reported the information on Telegram.
"Lyman direction. Our units and subdivisions continue to steadfastly hold their lines and positions, repel all enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Bilohorivka, Spirne, Novoselivske, Torske, and inflict significant losses in personnel and equipment," Syrskyi wrote.
He noted that he had met with the commanders of units and subdivisions performing tasks in the hottest spots of the frontline.
"We jointly discussed possible scenarios for the development of events in this area and the current situation at the frontline," he said.
According to him, the time will soon come when the Ukrainian Armed Forces will launch an active offensive, so Syrskyi "identified specific tasks to prepare for it."
The general also handed out awards to the soldiers who had best performed in combat.
Earlier, Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the President's Office, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counteroffensive was already underway.
