Swedish government approves ninth package of military aid to Ukraine
The Swedish government approved the ninth package of aid to Ukraine, in which the country will provide air defense systems and winter ammunition for the Ukrainian military.
This became known during the press conference of the Ministers of Defense of Ukraine and Sweden, Oleksii Reznikov and Paul Jonson.
"Swedish government has approved the ninth package of support for Ukraine, and it is 50% larger than the eighth package. This is due to the fact that we are observing an escalation from Russia. In this package, we provide air defense systems, components for another type of air defense system and winter ammunition for the Ukrainian military," Jonson said.
According to the head of the Ministry of Defense of Sweden, on December 11, he saw the consequences of attacks on civilian objects in Mykolaiv, which he visited together with Reznikov.
"From January 1, we will chair the Council of Europe, and it will be a very important task for us to protect the interests of Ukraine," the Swedish minister promised.
