Sweden has handed over 10 Stridsvagn 122 tanks to Ukraine after Ukrainian crews completed training: they are already on the battlefield

The Swedish Defense Ministry's press service reported this on Thursday, September 21.
"We have given them all that we can in terms of great matériel and good knowledge. We wish them all the luck in the world and that they succeed in freeing their country," said Mats Ludvig, Operations Commander, Army Staff
The decision to send the tanks was made on the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, February 24, 2023. At the same time, the country agreed to train the Ukrainian military to operate these tanks.
According to the Swedish Defense Ministry, Stridsvagn 122 tanks have been in Ukraine for some time.
- On September 10, Ukraine and Sweden agreed to jointly produce CV-90 infantry fighting vehicles. It is currently planned to produce one thousand infantry fighting vehicles for the Ukrainian army.
