Sweden approves EUR 124 million in aid to Ukraine: what will money be used for?

The Swedish mission to the EU reported the information on X.
"Ukraine is fighting for its survival and for Europe’s security and freedom. This is a crucial time for support to UA. Today, SE gov has approved a Ukraine winter package of €124m for civil infrastructure," the statement said.
On December 11, during a press conference, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Development Minister Johan Forssell presented a package of humanitarian aid to Ukraine for the winter period, Sweden Postsen reported.
"This is a comprehensive winter package," Kristersson said.
According to him, SEK 1.4 billion will be taken from the aid budget. Of these, SEK 900 million will go to the World Bank's Ukraine Recovery Facility. The fund supports Ukraine's central infrastructure in the areas of energy, housing, healthcare and transportation.
According to the Swedish government, heating and power transmission equipment in the Ukrainian power grid is essential for the Ukrainian population in winter.
Another 300 million kronor will go to the European Development Bank's Environmental and Energy Fund, 100 million kronor will be distributed through the UN Food Program, 75 million kronor will go to UNESCO to build shelters in schools and preschools, and 25 million kronor will be distributed through the Community Protection and Preparedness Agency, Kristersson said.
