Sweden announces record $1.6 billion military aid package for Ukraine
On March 31, Sweden announced its largest military aid package for Ukraine, amounting to 16 billion SEK ($1.6 billion)

Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonson made the announcement, according to Reuters.
He explained that the largest portion of the aid package, 9.2 billion SEK, will be allocated for military equipment, which Stockholm will purchase under the guidance of the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration.
Earlier, the Swedish government had stated it would increase military assistance to Kyiv. Specifically, this year, the country decided to raise its funding for military support from 25 billion SEK to 40 billion SEK (nearly $4 billion).
- Sweden has decided to provide Ukraine with 40 million Swedish kronor (€3.6 million) to support the Demining Coalition and the same amount for the purchase of drones.
