Sumy regional head detained for collaborating with Russian forces – Ukrainian Prosecutor
The head of the Seredino-Bud community in Sumy region has been detained on suspicion of treason after making preparations to hand over the city to Russian forces.

Information on this case, and the related investigation, was shared by Ukraine’s General Prosecutor’s Office. It found that the head of this territorial community provided assistance to the aggressor state (Russia) in carrying out subversive activities.
"He provided the FSB with information about the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ movements and weapons. During the occupation, he made plans to “surrender" the city and issued orders for the checkpoints at the entrance to the village to be removed.
He was detained and is currently being charged and remanded in custody.
