Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez calls on Germany and France to mediate in Ukraine's talks with Putin to end war
On January 19, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced the need for negotiations between Ukraine and Russia with the mediation of Germany and France

He said this on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The politician believes that negotiations with Vladimir Putin are the only possible way to end the war in Ukraine.
"It is important that we keep in touch with Putin," he said.
Sanchez strongly advocates that the governments of Germany and France take the initiative, as they were part of the Normandy format.
Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares said that his country does not intend to transfer tanks to Ukraine at this time.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said at the Davos Economic Forum that he did not see the war in Ukraine ending in the near future.
