Son loses 30 kg after Russian captivity - released Azov fighter's mother
The released Azov fighter's mother, Iryna Novosiadlo, says that the prisoners of war (POWs) are holding on, but their physical and psychological condition is very difficult
She shared the details with Espreso TV.
"My son lost up to 30 kg of weight, he is very thin, and is currently undergoing a medical examination. In captivity, the boys were poorly fed. The first weeks of captivity they were kept on water, and then they began to feed them twice a day - at night and once a day. They were small portions and low-quality food and water," Novosiadlo noted.
According to her, her son constantly talks about the POWs who remained in captivity.
"He understands the condition our defenders are in. There are still thousands of Ukrainians in captivity who need to be released quickly. Women are still being held captive, including a 70-year-old woman who has also lost weight. All the prisoners are holding on, but they are in a difficult state both psychologically and physically," Novosiadlo added.
