Soldiers with the Lviv 80th Division ambush Russian occupiers' car in Kherson region
Troops with the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 80th Separate Airborne Assault Division has ambushed invading Russian forces. The members of the occupation force who survived were then captured.
Ukraine's Strategic Communications Department shared the information Espreso.West reports.
According to StratCom, Lviv paratroopers "hunted down" Russian occupiers in the Kherson direction.
"Fighters with the 80th Airborne Assault Division set up an ambush: on a Russian vehicle. Kherson region," the report says.
Additional information. The 80th Separate Airborne Assault Division is a military unit within the Airborne Assault Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the spring of 2014, it was among the first who repelled Russian aggression, the units were sent to the northeastern borders of Ukraine. Servicemen of the Division took part in the first battle of the war in Donbas - on April 13, 2014 near Semenivka, later they took part in the battles for Slovyansk. Since 2016, the Division has been reformed into the Airborne Assault Division and received a tank unit.
