Smoke seen on a Russian ship near occupied Sevastopol. Espreso
Naval expert H I Sutton from the OSINT project has identified smoke on a Russian ship in the sea near Sevastopol
H I Sutton wrote about this on Twitter.
On the morning of August 5, a partially burnt ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet entered the bay in occupied Sevastopol. This is reported by the Krym.Realii project.
"The right side of the ship in the area of the stern was burnt. An army launcher of green color is located on the stern. At 09:30, the ship was moored near Kurina pier with the help of tugs", it is noted.
They add that since the beginning of the full-scale military invasion of the Russian army in Ukraine, the ship numbers of all ships have been painted over to complicate the identification of units of the same type.
On Thursday, August 4, a Russian warship near the temporarily occupied Sevastopol began releasing smoke decoys. As a result, several explosions were heard and black smoke rose above the ship.
The expert assumed that the ship could have been hit by Ukrainian missiles, but there is currently no confirmation or refutation of this information in official sources.
H I Sutton also suggested that the smoke attack occurred on a project 22160 Vasyl Bykov patrol ship. Ships of this type can be armed with eight Kalibr cruise missiles.
Other users also tweeted photos and videos of "strange actions" of the ship.
As the user with the Suh account noted, this morning the same patrol ship arrived at the port of Sevastopol.
