He said this on the Espreso TV channel.

“Putin has outlasted five American presidents, eight British prime ministers, and six NATO secretaries general. And with each of them, he held similar negotiations. They looked into his eyes, saw some kind of soul there, and pressed the ‘reset’ button. In other words, Putin has enormous experience. And he regards another American president calmly.

Putin already has a well-practiced combination, where he uses all his KGB tricks. But what’s surprising is that Trump still hasn’t learned, and it seems he’s already firmly on Putin’s hook. Trump repeats statements that are politically fatal,” Rybachuk emphasized.

According to the expert, Trump believes that Putin truly wants peace. Trump’s team repeats the phrase that they see no need to impose tough sanctions, as this would set negotiations back by two years.

“Barack Obama also tried to ‘reset’ Putin. He wrote a book and frankly shares his impressions. Obama notes that Russians lie as easily as they breathe and feel no shame about it. They know that you know they are lying, but they still lie. For Trump, this should not have been news, but Obama writes that the only way is by force, that is, to press them to the wall, and then there will be no room for maneuver,” Rybachuk concluded.

  • Polish expert and journalist Marek Sierant noted that the United States has many different tools to put pressure on Russia, but does not use any of them.
