Japan bans exports of 164 categories of goods to Russia

On Friday, April 5, Japan imposed another package of sanctions against Russia. Thus, it banned the export of 164 categories of goods to Russia

The Ministry of Economy and Industry of Japan reports.

"Based on this, today the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decree on partial changes to the export trade control procedure. The measures will come into effect on April 17," the statement said.

It is noted that the ban includes lithium-ion batteries, gas pipes, motor oil for cars, thermostats, nitrocellulose products, and woodworking machines.

In addition, the export of yachts and other recreational or sports vessels, including kayaks, canoes, and light boats, has been banned in Russia. Optical, measuring, control, precision equipment, photographic equipment and their parts and accessories are also banned.
