Hungary blocks 13th package of EU sanctions against Russia - FT
Hungary has blocked the latest round of Russia sanctions. The country did not agree with the new measures because of Chinese companies on the list
European Pravda reports this with reference to the Financial Times.
It is noted that at a meeting of EU ambassadors, Hungary was the only country that did not support the 13th package of sanctions. It targets almost 200 people and organizations from Russia, China and other countries that are considered to be helping the Kremlin in its military operations.
Instead, one of the officials told the Financial Times that Hungary did not agree to the new sanctions because of the presence of Chinese companies on the list. At the same time, another official said that the Hungarian ambassador "asked for a little more time to analyze the content of the proposals."
