Russia signals new phase of aerial terror on Ukraine with Kyiv attack
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas said this after the conclusion of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting on June 23 in Brussels, European Pravda reports.
The EU chief diplomat is convinced that the 18th package of EU sanctions against Russia will be approved by June 29.
"By the end of this week, we aim to approve the 18th package of sanctions against Russia," Kallas said.
She added that "each sanction weakens Russia’s ability to wage this war."
"A new strict cap on the price of Russian oil remains on the agenda," stated the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs.
The EU will not independently lower the maximum price for Russian oil from $60 to $45 per barrel, as this initiative is not supported by the Group of Seven.
