Executive Director of the Institute of World Policy Yevhen Mahda said this on Espreso TV.
"It is already clear that the world will become multi-vector. The West is afraid of a world without Russia, because a world without Russia will strengthen China's position. In this world, the role of regional alliances will grow. Ukraine, as a state, was the first to defend its independence in the 21st century with arms in hand. Ukraine should claim to be one of the leaders of the modern world. But, even after the victory, our leadership will not be immediate. We need to change within the country," Mahda emphasized.
According to the political scientist, we must convey to our partners that preserving Russia in its current form will become a deferred threat to the world."
"We need to build relationships with our neighbors. Only through strong relations with our neighbors can we build an effective state. We need to look for opportunities to quickly rebuild a strong state. The issue of dismantling Russia is now off the agenda. We have to live and fight on. We have to convey to our partners that preserving Russia in its current form will be a deferred threat that can go off, not necessarily on the territory of Ukraine, but on another state. And this will become a serious problem for the world," Mahda emphasized.
Recent events in Russia, including drone attacks on Moscow and the acceleration of conscription, show that the Kremlin is no longer able to protect its own population from war.
The UK representative noted that it is Russia that is the aggressor in the war against Ukraine, sending thousands of its people to their deaths.
