Russia's only tactic is terror, so its only possible final will be defeat - Zelenskyy

Zelensky said this in his evening address.

On October 28, Ukrainians celebrate the day when the country was liberated from the Nazi occupiers and pay tribute to Ukrainians who fought and defeated Nazism during the Second World War.

"Today we do it by holding weapons, not flowers. Today, preserving the memory of the exploits of our ancestors means protecting their achievements. We remember the expulsion of the Nazis, bringing the expulsion of Russiana closer", Zelenskyy said.

President emphasized that evil, which seemed to have been finally defeated in 1945, was revived 80 years later and became possible primarily because of indifference. After all, when someone thinks that he will not be affected by a war that is happening somewhere far away, in the end, it becomes everyone's concern. And he added that evil always begins in the same way, acts in the same way, but also ends in the same way.

"Evil always begins in the same way. Russian invading forces call themselves liberators. The invasion of their army is self-defense. Just like 80 years ago, Ukrainian people stand up for the defense of their native land. And Russian blitzkrieg plan becomes a failure.

Evil always works in the same way. Kills the civilian population, assuring that it only hits military targets. Arranges blockades and filtration camps. And Syrets becomes Olenivka. Destroys cities and villages. And Koryukivka becomes Bucha. But sooner or later war crimes become known. The reaction of the world becomes painful.  he policy of appeasement becomes a harsh countermeasure. The position of evil becomes zugzwang.

So evil always ends the same way. The occupier becomes a capitulator. The invader is a fugitive. War criminals become defendants, aggression is a sentence. Destruction becomes reparations. Enemy equipment becomes museum exhibits. The feats of grandfathers become the victories of grandchildren", he said, adding that result of our struggle will certainly be the liberation of Ukraine. After all, "captured territory becomes free - it has always been so in the past and will definitely be so in the future."

"Today, Russia's only tactic has become a terror. The only possible end of such tactics will be defeat. Terror has become proof of their weakness and a test of our stability", Zelenskyy added. The second army in the world will be smaller and smaller.  The losses of the enemy will become more and more.  I am sure that hostile propaganda does not work, provocations do not work, and threats do not scare.  Any hard winter will not scare us.  We know that the darkest night becomes the dawn."
