Russia's nuclear weapons for Lukashenko are explosive belt on him, his regime

Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, lawmaker and former head of Ukraine's Security Service, believes that Lukashenko is holding all Belarusians hostage to Russia's nuclear threats

He said this on Espreso TV.

“For Lukashenko, Russian nuclear weapons are an explosive belt on him and his regime. He has also set up the whole country, all Belarusians, whom he wants to hold hostage to Russia's nuclear threats. Putin, Medvedev, and 2-3 other people from Putin's inner circle are threatening with nuclear weapons, and Lukashenko has joined in, wearing this explosive belt. Why? Firstly, Russia's proliferation of nuclear weapons into Belarus is another international crime. However, it is also a blow to China, whose ally Putin and Russia have been portraying themselves as,” commented the former SBU head.

Valentyn Nalyvaichenko noted that China and India have repeatedly warned, even asked and demanded that Russia not use or proliferate nuclear weapons in other countries. But Putin spat in their faces, and now he is playing with Lukashenko to spread Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus.

“The second point is that these weapons remain Russian weapons under Russian leadership. Lukashenko lied on the second point, because he will not receive any nuclear weapons, they will be in Putin's hands. And the third point is that it is important to understand that the anti-Putin coalition of countries that possess nuclear deterrent weapons are very skeptical of all these threats, but they check and monitor everything. And they have unloaded their deterrent weapons and prepared them for possible retaliatory use or destruction of nuclear warheads on the territory of the Russian Federation. Do you think it's a coincidence that the largest air exercises of all NATO member states are scheduled for Germany right now? NATO aviation is preparing to ensure that not a single nuclear missile takes off, so that Putin's nuclear missiles remain in the territories where they are located. No one in the world is falling for Putin's nuclear blackmail, but they are preparing seriously,” Nalyvaichenko said.

  • On May 25, the defense ministers of Russia and Belarus signed a document on the deployment of Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. Lukashenko announced that he had begun moving nuclear weapons to the country.
