Russia’s missile strike on Dnipro: at least 7 wounded are reported

On the night of August 24, Russia has struck a transport infrastructure in Dnipro. 7 people were wounded and dozens of buildings were damaged in the attack

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported the information.

"There were powerful explosions in Dnipro in the middle of the night. The enemy hit the city with missiles. One of them was shot down by the defenders of the East Air Command," the statement reads.

Some of the missiles reportedly reached their targets. Russian forces hit a transport facility with missiles. Two residential buildings, buses, cars, a trolleybus network, water and gas pipelines were damaged. A bank, a gas station, a hotel, an agricultural company, a furniture factory, an administrative building and 15 kiosks were also damaged. 

Seven people were injured in the terrorist attack - 3 men and 4 women, aged 32 to 55.

Starting at 02:27 am, according to Telegram channels, powerful explosions were reported throughout the city. They were also reported by Suspilne correspondents.

At 02:39 am, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that air defense was operating in the Dnipropetrovsk region. 

At about 03:30 am, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported an air raid alert in the city and victims:

"Dnipro. Missile strike. There are victims. All information later. Do not publish anything on social media."

He also added that all the relevant services are working at the site.
