Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine has united all of Europe - Swiss President Cassis

The Swiss leader spoke about this during a speech at the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine in Lugano, which was broadcast on Espreso TV. 

"We focused all our attention on strengthening the European community. Russia started aggression against Ukraine and we all united. We were all forced to fight back against the challenges that came before us. We all sought to support Ukraine on the path to sustainable development and reconstruction," -  Cassis noted.

The President added that the European community was also united by the desire to help Ukrainians.

"In such terrible times of destruction and grief, we are united by the desire to give the people of Ukraine the hope of returning to a normal life, peace and future. We understand that there is a difficult path ahead, but it is never too early to prepare for peace. We see a war at the level of Europe, so without unity nothing is possible," - Ignazio Cassis said.
