Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine killed 158 children, over 254 were injured - juvenile prosecutors
As of April 2, more than 412 children have suffered in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into our state. Of these, 158 were killed and more than 254 were injured
This is reported by juvenile prosecutors.
"This data is not final, since work is underway to establish them in places of active hostilities and in territories temporarily occupied by the invader. In particular, in the city of Mariupol, in certain territories of the Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Luhansk regions", the message says.
The most affected children were in Kyiv region - 75, Donetsk region - 71, Kharkiv region - 56, Chernihiv region - 46, Mykolaiv region - 31, Luhansk region - 31, Zaporizhzhya region - 22, Kherson region - 29, Sumy region - 16, Zhytomyr region - 15 and 16 children in the capital city.
"Approximately on March 18-20, the armed forces of the Russian Federation fired artillery at civilian vehicles on a highway in the Chernihiv region, as a result of which 13 people were killed, two of whom were children. On March 26, three children were injured as a result of shelling of the city of Mariupol. On March 31, as a result of artillery shelling in the Bashtansky district of the Mykolaiv region, a child was wounded", the prosecutor's office says.
