What is known about the explosions on the Baikal-Amur railway in Buryatia

On November 30, an explosion occurred in Russia on the Baikal-Amur railway line, located in Buryatia. 4 explosive devices were detonated when a freight train was moving along the main line.

Despite the absence of official comments from the Security Service, sources in several Ukrainian media outlets report that the bombing of the railroad was a successful SBU operation. At the same time, the Russian Federation claims that the train was only smoking.

Later, another train carrying fuel exploded on the Baikal-Amur railroad. According to media reports, this was another operation by the Ukrainian Security Service. This cut off the main logistics route between Russia and China.

Subsequently, the US stated that it would not provide official comments on the bombing of trains on the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) and emphasized that it did not provide the Ukrainian side with the capabilities to conduct operations in Russia.
