Russians rush to conduct "strong attacks" before AFU’s counteroffensive - Ukraine's Intelligence
Main Intelligence Directorate representative Andriy Yusov said that Russian forces continue to attack East of Ukraine, as the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is inevitable
This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate.
The intelligence representative explained that the Russian forces are unable to fulfill their task of capturing the Ukrainian East, but this does not mean that there will be no further attempts to do so.
"We see that they cannot fulfill their tasks, but this does not mean that there will be no further attempts. The enemy has a reserve, has accumulated manpower, however, there is a problem with equipment and combat vehicles."
According to Yusov, the Russian military is aware of the inevitability of a Ukrainian counteroffensive and therefore continues to attack the East.
"The enemy is in a hurry and now continues to make strong attacks on Vuhledar and Bakhmut, realizing that the offensive of Ukrainian forces is inevitable, trying to bring it down in a certain way," noted Andriy Yusov.
- Earlier, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Andriy Chernyak, said that Russia would not be able to launch a large-scale offensive in the East by February 24 due to a lack of resources.
