Russians must bear responsibility, or this war will last decades - diplomat Chaly on banning Russians from EU

The diplomat shared the details on the air of the Espreso TV channel.

"The Russians must bear at least minimal responsibility, otherwise it will be a war for decades. The citizens of the Russian Federation do not feel the war. They say: kill the Ukrainian faster, we are tired from them - why don't they capitulate? And at the same time, the Russians are walking around Europe. EU decision about closing tourist entry for Russians should be unambiguous. The decision in Ukraine should be even tougher - to close entry for citizens of the Russian Federation for the period of total war with Russia," Chaly said.

The expert added that banning Russian citizens from entering the EU is not a punishment.

"The ban on entry of Russians to the European Union is actually not a punishment at all. It is simply a deprivation of a certain privilege of entering Europe for tourist purposes. At the same time, we are not talking about national visas, coming for medical purposes or family visits. It is only about tourism.", - remarked Valery Chaly.
