Russians hit Kharkiv districts with cluster munitions: person injured

On the morning of August 29, Russian troops shelled the Kyiv district of Kharkiv. Houses were damaged, one person is known to have been injured in the attack

This was reported by the mayor of the city Igor Terekhov and the head of Kharkiv regional military administration Oleg Synegubov.

"Kyiv district of Kharkiv has been under fire since six in the morning. The private sector was shelled with cluster munitions," Terekhov wrote.

Later, Synegubov told about the damaged residential buildings and the injured 77-year-old man.

Yesterday, August 28, around 20:00, the Russian occupiers launched 2 rocket attacks on the center of Kharkiv. Administrative buildings in the city center were partially destroyed. No one was hurt.

Over the past day, hostile shelling of settlements in the Kharkiv, Chuguyiv and Bogoduhiv districts of the region continued. Residential buildings, commercial buildings were damaged, fires broke out. Destroyed garages.

According to the Center for Emergency Medical Assistance, 2 people were hospitalized with injuries during the day - in the Kharkiv and Bogodukhiv districts.

"On the line of contact, the enemy continues to massively use rocket and barrel artillery, tanks and combat vehicles against the positions of our defenders. The Russians conduct aerial reconnaissance with the help of UAVs, and point-wise use of combat aircraft. Our defenders reliably hold the defense, opening fire in return. Yesterday afternoon, the occupiers  tried to advance in the Svitlychny area, but retreated with losses," added the regional head.
