Russian troops return to aerial bombardment, targeting Donetsk region
Russian troops have resumed active aerial bombardment of the Tavria sector. The Russian army carried out 16 airstrikes yesterday, most of them targeting the Donetsk region
Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the Tavria Grouping of Forces commander, wrote on Telegram.
He noted that the number of Russian infantry attacks remains at the same level. Russian troops were most active near Avdiivka and in the Marinka direction. In total, the Russian forces conducted 32 combat engagements in the Tavria sector over the last day, firing 864 artillery rounds and launching 1 missile attack.
The total Russian troops' losses over the last day amounted to 466 servicemen and 52 pieces of military equipment. In particular, 8 tanks, 7 armored personnel carriers, 16 artillery systems, 32 drones, 4 units of special equipment and 15 vehicles.
Tarnavskyi emphasized that Ukrainian soldiers destroyed the Buk-M air defense system, 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled artillery systems and 2S4 Tyulpan 240-millimeter self-propelled mortars. The commander called Russian army equipment and weapons losses "valuable for the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
In addition, four Russian ammunition depots were blown up yesterday.
