Russians do not allow to evacuate Mariupol residents, again manipulation and deception - District Council Head

The District Council Head said that today, on April 23, the Russians announced the evacuation of the city residents.

"At 12:00, Russian buses were supposed to come to us. The Russians announced this based on the results of negotiations. By now, at 13:00, there are no buses yet. More than 200 people who want to go to Zaporizhzhya have gathered at the location. In Mariupol at the Metro bus stop people were informed that they were going to Dokuchayevsk. Some manipulations and deceitful processes are going on again, but we do not lose hope", Stepan Makhsma said.

The District Council Head also emphasized that every time an evacuation is set, new challenges and barriers arise that must be constantly overcome.

"Only the world community can put pressure on Putin with various efforts to give the command for the evacuation of Mariupol residents. All other attempts are useless, so there must be a common position of world society to give us the opportunity to do this. We have absolutely everything, we can evacuate people from that hell, but we are not allowed to do it. There is no command from the Russian Federation so that we can do this", Makhsma said.
