“On Saturday in the village of Kremenivka, Mariupol district. The occupiers cruelly beat a 30-year-old man who is both deaf and mute, causing him severe injuries and nearly killing him,” the message said.
The victim is currently in critical condition and receiving intensive care at Mariupol Intensive Care Hospital No. 2, as mentioned by Andryushchenko.
“This crime is not being investigated. Absolute impunity. We can only hope that the man will survive,” he said.
On July 4, Petro Andryushchenko, adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, predicted the eventual liberation of the city, citing signs that indicate the Russian invaders' willingness to retreat. He suggested that Mariupol would soon return to its rightful place, and Russia sees no point in investing in a territory it will soon lose.
Furthermore, on the same day, the Mariupol City Council reported the discovery of the body of a missing 12-year-old girl near the temporarily occupied area of Mariupol. The investigation suggests that she may have been accidentally shot by a Russian soldier.
