Russians attack Donetsk region with cluster munitions killing 2 people, including 10-year-old
In the evening of July 24, the occupiers shelled Kostyantynivka in Donetsk region with cluster munitions: 2 people died (including a 10-year-old boy), 7 children and adults were injured
Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, reported this on his Telegram.
As of 7:00 a.m. on July 25, the recent shelling of Kostyantynivka resulted in the death of two people, including a 10-year-old boy who suffered life-threatening injuries. Seven others were injured, including four children - girls aged 5, 11, and 12, and a 12-year-old boy.
One of the injured children is in serious condition and has been taken to a neighboring region for advanced medical care. The condition of the other children is satisfactory.
Oleksiy Roslov, the head of Kostyantynivka military administration, previously reported the attack. The incident occurred on July 24 between 19:10 and 19:20 when the Russian military fired two rounds from the Smerch anti-aircraft missile system. The injured children will be transferred to Dnipro hospital for treatment.
Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of Donetsk regional military administration, mentioned that the enemy's gunfire targeted a local reservoir where people were relaxing. Earlier, he informed that the injured children included 5, 11, and 12-year-old girls and an 11-year-old boy.
Among the injured children were two sisters, one of whom is in serious condition, according to Anastasia Medvedeva, a spokeswoman for Donetsk region's prosecutor's office.
“Two 35-year-old women and a 44-year-old man were also injured. The citizens were near a recreation area at one of the local reservoirs when the shelling occurred,” the message said.

On July 23, Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region was attacked with cluster munitions by the Russian military, resulting in the destruction of the city's Palace of Culture. The Palace of Culture was an essential facility for providing medical and humanitarian aid to residents.
