Russians are advancing in Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions

The Ukrainian General Stuff shared the morning report on November 10.

"Russian troops are trying to hold the temporarily captured territories and are concentrating their efforts on deterring Ukrainian Defense Forces in certain directions. They are launching offensives in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions," the message says.

Over the past day, on November 9, units of the Ukrainian defence forces repelled attacks by invaders in the areas of the settlements of Novoselivske and Makiivka in the Luhansk region and Soledar, Klishchiivka, Mayorsk, Yakovlivka, Andriivka, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Nevelske, Pervomaiske and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.

Russian soldiers are shelling units of Ukrainian Defense Forces along the contact line, putting up fortifications in certain directions and conducting aerial reconnaissance. They continue to strike critical infrastructure and civilian homes in violation of International Humanitarian Law, the laws and customs of war.  

Over the past day, Russian forces launched 11 missiles and 22 air strikes and more than 35 MLRS attacks. More than 30 settlements in Donetsk, Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy and Kherson regions were affected by Russian attacks.

in the Volyn and Polissya directions, the situation has not changed significantly. Belarus continues to support the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, receive and deploy Russian military personnel, and provide training grounds. The formation of a joint Russian-Belarusian group of troops continues. The threat of Russian forces' strikes and the use of UAVs from the territory and airspace of the Republic of Belarus remains.

  Russian army fired in other directions:

• in the Siversk direction - from barrel and jet artillery, in the areas of the settlements of Hasychivka, Chernihiv region and Popivka, Petrushivka, Miropillia, Zapsillia, Nova Huta, Novovasylivka and Starykove, Sumy region

• in the Slobozhansk direction - from various types of artillery, in the areas of the settlements of Hryhorivka, Kolodiazne, Strilecha, Vovchansk, Ohirtseve and Ternova

• in the Kupyansk and Lyman directions - from mortars, barrel and jet artillery, in the settlements of Ploshchanska, Berestove, Stelmakhivka, Myasozharivka, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Makiivka, Nevske and Kyslivka

• in the Bakhmut direction - from tanks, mortars, barrel and jet artillery, in the settlements of Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Soledar, Ivanhrad, Yakovlivka, Mayorsk, Zelenopillia and New York

• in the Avdiivka direction - from tanks, mortars, barrel and jet artillery, in the areas of the settlements of Vuhledar, Nevelske, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Krasnohorivka and Vesele

• in the Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhzhia directions - from tanks and the entire range of artillery, in the areas of the settlements of Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, Pavlivka, Hulyaipilske, Vremivka, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novopil, Mali Shcherbaky and Poltavka

In the Southern Buh direction - from tanks and various-calibre artillery in Pravdyne, Myrne, Ternovi Pody, Sukhyi Stavok, Zolota Balka and Marhanets. In addition, Russian forces continued to conduct aerial surveillance, actively using UAVs. They made more than 15 flights.
