Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, reported this, saying he met with Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova with the help of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
“We exchanged letters, including a new initiative where we delivered letters from Ukrainian families to their relatives in Russian captivity,” Lubinets said.
The two sides also exchanged lists of prisoners of war. Lubinets mentioned that, as a result of the negotiations, a 91-year-old woman was able to meet her son.
Lubinets stressed that his cooperation with Moskalkova focuses on resolving humanitarian issues, bringing Ukrainians home, and gathering information about Ukrainian citizens in Russia.
- On November 8, the bodies of 563 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine as a result of repatriation activities.
