Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, reports.
"Another war crime! Social media have reported the alleged shooting of Ukrainian prisoners of war who were surrounded by Russians in the Kursk region," Lubinets said.
He added that he had sent letters to the UN and ICRC regarding the crime.
"The international community must act immediately. The occupying country has once again violated the Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War. Russia must be stopped. The enemy will be held accountable for every crime," the Ombudsman emphasized.
- In the Kursk sector, Russian army soldiers shot two Ukrainian soldiers who were captured at close range. Ukraine sent letters to international organizations regarding this crime.
