In Chernihiv region, the head of the Chernihiv city military administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, reported at 3:02 a.m. that the city was under attack.

“A fire broke out at the impact sites. There is no information about casualties,” he said.

Chernihivoblenergo, electricity supplier in the Chernihiv region, later confirmed that several important power supply facilities had been hit, leaving about 50,000 consumers without electricity due to emergency power cuts.

“Energy workers have begun to restore power. At the same time, the region continues to operate on an hourly power outage schedule. Today, the principle is to turn off the power every three hours (three hours of power and three hours without). We are doing everything possible to ensure that there are no additional outages, despite the situation. Moreover, we hope that the outages will be even less severe during off-peak hours,” the company stated.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine published images showing firefighters eliminating the consequences of the strike on an infrastructure facility in Chernihiv.
