Russian airstrike kills child, injures teen in Zaporizhzhia region overnight

This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

That night, the Russian army attacked a frontline village in the Polohy district.

The Russian forces targeted residential areas with cluster munitions. A 9-year-old girl was killed in the attack.

Additionally, a 16-year-old boy was injured. 

Later, the local officials clarified that the boy had received multiple injuries, amputation and contusion. The child underwent surgery and is currently in the intensive care unit on artificial lung ventilation.

Doctors assess the boy's condition as stable and serious.

One house was destroyed in the village. Several other houses, vehicles, and farm buildings were damaged by the blast wave.
