Russia launches missile strikes on Kharkiv: children's health camp damaged
Late in the evening of January 9, the Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with missiles. Civilian objects were damaged
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported the information.
"As a result of Russian strikes, the territory and premises of the children's health center in Kharkiv were damaged. It is an exclusively civilian facility," Syniehubov emphasized.
He added that there was no information about casualties, as, fortunately, there were no people in the premises. Emergency services are inspecting the hit sites.
In turn, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov emphasized that it was a completely civilian facility.
"As for the night shelling. A children's recreation camp on the outskirts of the city was attacked. There were two strikes. Several buildings were damaged, but fortunately, there were no casualties. The camp is empty," he said.
Additionally, the Prosecutor General's Office pointed out that Russian forces launched an attack on Kharkiv from the territory of Russia's Belgorod region. They also confirmed that the assault was executed using S-300 missiles.
Earlier, Syniehubov reported missile strikes on Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region.
"The invaders have launched an attack, using S-300 missile systems from the Belgorod territory. As of now, there are no reported casualties. Further details on the extent of damage in Kharkiv and the surrounding region are being verified. Do not leave the shelters until the air raid is over!" he wrote at 11:36 pm.
