Russia launches record number of strikes on Donetsk region since war started
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, reported the information on the United News telethon.
"We're not talking about an actual beach season. They (the Russians) are doing this to employ their standard human shield tactic," he stated.
Fedorov stressed that Russia has frequently positioned its military bases in residential areas, schools, and kindergartens to hide behind civilians.
He also highlighted that Russia has already stationed military forces, ammunition depots, and training bases on the Sea of Azov coast and Molochnyi Lyman.
"Hence, the enemy will attempt to forcibly bring vacationers there, using trade unions to create a human shield around their military bases," summarized Fedorov.
