Russia launches over 40 attack drones at Ukrainian cities. Aftermath

On the night of March 6, the Ukrainian Air Force shot down 38 Shahed drones in Dnipro, Odesa, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, and Sumy regions.

Ukraine's air force reports that Russian occupation troops launched 5 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region and 42 Shahed attack drones from four directions: Chauda, Balaklava, Crimea, and Kursk region, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia.

Consequences of the attack in Sumy

Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that there was destruction in different parts of the city.

All emergency services are working at the scene. The victims are being provided with the necessary medical care, the military administration added. The consequences of the air strikes are being clarified.

In the morning, the State Emergency Service reported that the attack caused a fire in three apartments on the third floor of a five-story residential building. 

"At another address, where residential buildings and cars sustained varying degrees of damage as a result of the strike, emergency workers inspected the area and provided various assistance to citizens," the statement said.

Later, the secretary of the city council, Artem Kobzar, who is acting mayor, said that the invaders had struck a critical infrastructure facility and also hit civilian objects twice.

The Prosecutor General's Office said that seven people were injured in the attack, including a 10-year-old child. 

Apartments in 11 apartment buildings and a preschool building were also damaged. About 20 cars were also damaged.

Odesa region

According to Oleh Kiper, Odesa Regional Military Administration head, Russian troops launched attack drones at populated areas and industrial facilities in the coastal zone. 

It is noted that another recreational facility, a gas pipeline, and private houses in the Odesa district were damaged due to falling debris from downed drones.

Khmelnytskyi region

The head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Tyurin, said that at night air defense forces destroyed 6 Russian drones.

The attack damaged an infrastructure facility. Several settlements remain without electricity. At the same time, the roof and ceiling of a private house were damaged. No people were injured.

Kharkiv region

In the morning, the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office reported that around 1:10 a.m., Russian drones hit the civilian infrastructure of Martove village in Chuhuiv district.

As a result, the buildings of a kindergarten and a lyceum were damaged. However, no people were injured.
