Air defense active in the Kyiv region

The Kyiv City Military Administration reported that as of 2:06 a.m., air defense was operating against the Russian drones in the region.

“Stay in shelters until the end of the air raid. Take care of your own safety,” the Administration added.

Explosions in Kyiv

At 4:00 a.m., Suspilne reported that explosions were heard in Kyiv or the suburbs.

At 4:49 a.m., Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that the wreckage of a drone had fallen on a playground between houses in the Dniprovskyi district. Emergency services were sent to the scene.

Later, Klitschko also informed about the fall of debris in the Holosiivskyi district.

“Debris damaged windows and doors in an apartment on the 6th floor of a residential building. A small fragment similar to a nut was found in the apartment. Emergency services are on their way to the scene. Information about the damage and victims is being established,” the mayor added.

Later, Klitschko said that a drone wreckage fell in the Desnianskyi district of the city, and a gazebo in a cottage community is on fire.

“Rescuers are on their way to the scene. There is no information about the victims,” he added.

The Kyiv City Military Administration later reported that Russian drones were flying to Kyiv from the territory of the occupied Kherson and Russia's Kursk regions. The Russian targets entered the capital in waves and from different directions.

“The air alert in the capital lasted more than 5 hours. Over a dozen enemy attack drones were destroyed by air defense forces and means,” the Kyiv Military Administration added.

The head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets, said that a fire had started on the territory of a private enterprise in the regional center as a result of the falling debris. As of 6:23 a.m., the liquidation of the aftermath was underway.
