Russia attacks shops in central Kherson: 7 dead, 6 injured
On the morning of Tuesday, October 1, Russia launched an attack on shops in the central part of Kherson. The attack resulted in the deaths of seven people and left six others injured
The head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported the information.
“In the morning, the occupiers attacked the central part of Kherson. Unfortunately, there are dead and wounded. More detailed information is being clarified,” the statement reads.
Later, Prokudin clarified that the Russian army struck retail outlets in the city center, where Kherson residents were buying or selling products in the morning.
As of 10 a.m., at least eight victims have been reported. Preliminary, five people were killed and three others were injured.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that the death toll from the strike has increased to 7.
According to law enforcement officials, Russian troops allegedly hit a local market and a public transportation stop at about 9 a.m. with cannon artillery.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports 6 dead and one injured woman.
“The Russians attacked the city around 9 a.m., when our entire country bowed its heads in mourning and observed a minute of silence to honor the memory of the fallen defenders. This is yet another proof of the meanness and lowliness of our enemy,” the Ministry added.

Roman Mrochko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, said that as of 10:40 a.m., the number of casualties from the Russian attack had increased to 6.
