Russian drone destroys residential building in Vinnytsia region, killing two

On the evening of March 14, Russia launched a Shahed air attack. Vinnytsia region came under attack, and air defense was activated in the Kyiv region

Casualties in the Vinnytsia region

The head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Borzov, said that a UAV hit a residential building in the Vinnytsia region.

"Three people were hospitalized. The relevant services are working at the scene," the head of the region added.

Later he reported that there were four people in the hospital.

"Unfortunately, one person died. All services are working at the scene. Work is underway to clear the rubble," Borzov wrote.

In the morning, the State Emergency Service reported that at night Russian troops had struck the civilian infrastructure of the Vinnytsia region with a drone. Rescuers rescued 2 people, and the body of one was unblocked from the rubble.

In addition, one residential building in Tulchyn community was damaged by falling debris. Two people were injured and hospitalized.

Later, the head of the regional military administration reported that another person had died as a result of the attack. 

"Unfortunately, another person died as a result of a night attack in the Vinnytsia region. At night, the occupiers struck residential buildings. Four people were hospitalized. One person died on the spot," Borzov wrote.

Air defense on the outskirts of Kyiv

On the morning of March 15, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that Russian drones were approaching the capital from the north.

The air raid alert in the capital lasted for almost an hour. However, there was no damage or casualties.

"All enemy Shahed UAVs heading for Kyiv - about 15 - were struck by air defense forces on the outskirts of the city!" the statement said.

Aftermath in the Kyiv region

Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, said that the air alert in the region lasted almost two hours, and air defense forces were working there.

"There were no hits to residential and critical infrastructure. There were no casualties," Kravchenko wrote. 

However, according to him, as a result of the fall of debris in one of the districts, a grass flooring caught fire in an open area.
