IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi reported the information.

"Several Ukrainian electrical substations vital for nuclear safety were affected by widespread military activity this morning," the IAEA reported on X. "ChNPP lost all off-site power and power lines to other NPPs were also impacted."

Grossi assured that the IAEA "is actively following developments in order to assess impact on nuclear safety."

However, Ukraine's Ministry of Energy later confirmed that power has been successfully restored to the facility. All Chornobyl NPP facilities, including the New Safe Confinement and spent nuclear fuel storage sites, are now operating in normal mode from Ukraine's Unified Energy System.

The ministry stated that radiation levels at the industrial site and in the exclusion zone do not exceed control limits. The plant is equipped with necessary fuel reserves and operational backup power sources in case of repeated attacks.

There is currently no direct threat to the population or environment. Energy workers and plant personnel continue enhanced monitoring of the situation.
