Yaroslav Yanushevych, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, announced this on the air of a nationwide telethon.

"According to the notification of the South Operational Command, the Ukrainian Armed Forces began an offensive in all directions in the South of Ukraine. We must remain calm and not interfere with our military. There is a lot of information, but now it is important to maintain informational silence so as not to cause harm. I can only confirm the well-targeted strikes on strongholds and concentrations of enemy manpower, weapons, and equipment in many areas of the Kherson region, and the fact that virtually all major bridges, namely the Antonivka Railway Bridge, the Road Bridge, and the Kakhovka Bridge, were put out of service with surgically precise strikes. Only pedestrian crossings remained. As a result of these actions, the Russian army turned out to be cut off from the supply of weapons and personnel from the territory of Crimea and the left-bank part of the Kherson region", he said.
