Russian troops strike residential building in Donetsk region: 12 wounded

On February 15, the Russian army has struck a high-rise building in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region: injuring at least 12 people, leaving 2 more under the rubble

As of 1:00 p.m., Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported at least 12 wounded civilians, and 2 more residents are under the rubble.

"I would like to remind you that today at about 10 a.m. there was a shelling of the residential neighborhood Sonyachnyi, Pokrovsk. According to the updated information, Russian troops struck with Smerch MLRS," he added.

Pavlo Kyrylenko informed about the attack earlier.

He noted that on February 15, Russian troops struck Pokrovsk: a multi-storey building was hit. According to preliminary data, Russian forces launched missiles.

The Ukrainian State Emergency Service reported that 2 people were rescued from the building.

"This morning, as a result of shelling of Pokrovsk, the roof and apartments on the 5th floor of the 1st and 2nd entrances of a 5-storey apartment building were destroyed. As of 10:45 a.m., rescuers have rescued 2 people at the scene: a woman was rescued from an apartment on the 4th floor using a ladder and a man was rescued from the rubble on the 5th floor."
