Russian troops shell Nikopol district with heavy artillery at night

Valentyn Reznichenko, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported the information on Telegram.

On the night of January 2, Russian forces shelled the Nikopol district with heavy artillery, hitting Nikopol and Marhanets 4 times. More than 20 strikes were recorded in the cities.

Also, the head of the Nikopol district administration Yevhen Yevtushenko writes that Russian troops have fired from the barrel artillery. 

As a result, a recreation center, infrastructure and networks were damaged.

The inspection of the territory continues. According to preliminary information, no civilians were injured.

On 27 December 2022, Russian troops struck 3 districts of the Nikopol district 5 times, damaging its power grid.

Acting Chairman of the Nikopol District Council Dmytro Bychkov said on Espreso TV that the main pressure felt by residents of the Nikopol district, Dnipropetrovsk region, is constant anxiety, as people have seconds to hide from shelling.

On the night of December 31, Russian troops shelled the Dnipropetrovsk region, particularly Myriv and Marhanets communities of the Nikopol district.  

• On New Year's Eve, Russian troops shelled Nikopol district twice, a 48-year-old woman was injured in an attack on a residential building.
