Russian troops operational pause near Avdiivka, silence is alarming - Ukrainian fighter Morozov

Maksym Morozov, a soldier with the "Svoboda Legion” fighting in the Avdiivka direction, believes that Russia is reformatting its forces for a possible offensive or defense

He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.

"I would say that there is a certain operational pause near Avdiivka. In my opinion, the enemy is reformatting its forces for a possible offensive or defense. The enemy is suffering significant losses despite the excellent logistics near Donetsk, from where Russians can quickly bring manpower and equipment. However, the enemy has taken an operational pause. We are so accustomed to massive and constant shelling here that this day of relative silence is very alarming. We are waiting for the enemy's actions, which can be both offensive and defensive," said the fighter.

Maksym Morozov suggested that Russain troops are running out of steam in the Avdiivka direction, so they now need to go on the defensive or take an operational pause to wait for reinforcements and equipment.

"For some time we had silence, and for Avdiivka a few hours of silence is a very long time. I believe there are only two options here: either the enemy is moving to defense, or they are preparing to attack with new forces from the north or south parts of Avdiivka," Morozov said.
