Russian troops intensify counterintelligence measures in Skadovsk: checking documents, phones - AFU General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information in a morning briefing on May 30.

"The enemy has stepped up counterintelligence activities in the temporarily occupied Skadovsk district, Kherson region," the statement said.

Thus, Russian forces carry out mass raids on the houses and apartments of local residents. They check personal documents and mobile devices. 

In this way, they are trying to intimidate the local population and identify those who are helping the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Russia launches 62 air strikes and 54 MLRS attacks at Ukraine in a day

Last night, on May 30, Russia attacked the territory of Ukraine again with Iranian-made Shahed attack UAVs. Information on the consequences of the attack is currently being clarified.

Over the past day, Russia launched two massive missile and air strikes on the territory of Ukraine. 

Last night, it launched Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and Iranian Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs. The forces and means of the air commands together with the air defense, destroyed 36 out of 40 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and 30 out of 38 Shahed attack UAVs. 

Yesterday afternoon, Russians launched cruise and ballistic missiles from the Iskander tactical missile system against civilian and critical infrastructure in Kyiv. The Air Force of Ukraine destroyed 11 out of 11 missiles.

In total, the Russian army launched 62 air strikes and 54 MLRS attacks over the past day. There were civilian casualties. Private houses and other infrastructure were damaged.

The threat of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.

Ukrainian defense forces repel 27 attacks. The situation in the following directions

Russia attempts to fully occupy Luhansk and Donetsk regions. 

Over the past day, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 27 attacks.

On the northern border with Belarus, the operational situation remains stable, with no signs of offensive groups forming.

On the northeastern border with Russia, the Russian army continues to maintain a military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. 

Over the past day, Russia launched an airstrike near Milove, Kharkiv region. 

It fired mortar and artillery shells at 22 settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops launched unsuccessful attacks near 2 settlements in the Kharkiv region and 2 more in the Luhansk region over the past day. 

They launched an air strike in the area of Stelmakhivka and shelled 13 settlements in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Russian soldiers did not assault over the past day.

They launched a missile strike near Lyman and air strikes near 3 settlements in Luhansk and  Donetsk regions. They also shelled 4 settlements.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops did not assault over the last day. They carried out an air strike near Toretsk, Donetsk region.

Eleven settlements in the Donetsk region suffered from Russian shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops did not attack.

They launched air strikes near Avdiivka and Vodiane and artillery shelling of 4 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 attacks near the town of Marinka. 

Russian forces launched an air strike near Heorhiivka. At the same time, Marinka and Heorhiivka in the Donetsk region came under Russian fire.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian forces launched air strikes near Vuhledar and Prechystivka. 

They shelled 6 settlements.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are on the defensive.

They carried out air strikes near 2 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. 

They shelled 21 settlements in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy 4 reconnaissance drones, hit 3 important targets and concentrations of Russian weapons and equipment

Ukrainian aviation launched 15 strikes on concentrations of Russian personnel and military equipment over the day. 

Missile and artillery units hit 3 concentrations of weapons and military equipment, an ammunition depot, 3 air defense facilities and 3 other important enemy targets.

Also, 4 Russian reconnaissance UAVs of various types were destroyed.
