Russian troops in Zaporizhzhia region bring 15 buses to evacuate "people's police,” steal Ukrainian property - AFU General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces report that 15 buses have arrived in the Ukrainian village of Dniprorudne to evacuate the Russian occupation administration and the "people's police," noting that Russian troops are looting office equipment stores and stealing cars

Russian troops continue to take looted property from the frontline settlements of the Zaporizhzhia region to Russia under the pretext of evacuating civilians.

In Mykhailivka, the evacuation of all property together with employees of Russian financial institutions in cars stolen from local residents was recorded.

In turn, Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit 2 Russian control points, 2 concentrations of weapons and military equipment, as well as 3 ammunition depots.

At night, Russian troops massively attack Mykolaiv, Kherson and Kharkiv regions with missiles

Russian troops launched 8 missile strikes during the day, 2 S-300 missiles hit a civilian enterprise in Balakliya, Kharkiv region, injuring 5 citizens.

In addition, Russian troops fired 5 Russian X-22 missiles at civilian targets in the Mykolaiv region and 1 Kh-22 missile at the Kherson region; there were no casualties.

Russian forces also launched 22 air strikes and more than 10 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk region; there are victims among the civilian population, a multi-storey building, private houses and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.

Russian forces attack in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. Heavy fighting is taking place for the towns of Bakhmut and Marinka. In total, they launched 39 attacks over the last day.

On the northern border with Belarus, there were no significant changes.

The situation in other directions is as follows:

On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops launched air strikes on 3 settlements in the Chernihiv region. They also launched mortar and artillery attacks on 8 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 3 in the Sumy region, and 7 more in the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces did not launch any assaults. They launched an air strike near Hryanikivka, as well as artillery and mortar attacks on 5 settlements in the Kharkiv region and 2 others in the Luhansk region. 

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops did not launch any offensives during the day. They launched air strikes near Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Spirne, Donetsk region. Makiivka and Nevske in the Luhansk region, as well as Bilohorivka and Spirne in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops are on the offensive. Fighting continues in the town of Bakhmut, the Russian army is shelling the town with incendiary and phosphorus ammunition. During the day, they launched unsuccessful offensives in the direction of 4 settlements. They launched air strikes near 4 more settlements. Ten settlements in the Donetsk region suffered from Russian shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy conducted offensive actions in the areas of Avdiivka and Pervomayske, but was unsuccessful.  It fired at the settlements of Berdychi, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomayske, Nevelske, Netaylove, Karlivka and Ostrye in the Donetsk region.

In the Maryinka sector, the enemy continues to attack the positions of the defense forces. Fighting for Maryinka continues. At the same time, Heorhiivka, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka and Pobeda in the Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions over the last day. They fired at Novomykhailivka, Yelizavetivka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Niva, Novoukrainka, Shakhtarsk and Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are on the defensive. They launched air strikes near the settlements of Vremivka in the Donetsk region and Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Meanwhile, they shelled more than 45 settlements in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, including the city of Kherson. 

  • On May 7, Russian troops struck 18 times in 11 settlements of the Donetsk region. More than 30 houses were damaged, there were wounded among civilians.

  • On May 6, Russian troops fired heavy artillery, Grad MLRS, tanks, UAVs and aircraft at settlements in the Kherson region; killing 6 people
