Russian troops concentrate their forces in Bakhmut direction, but their morale is low - Haidai

Head of the Luhansk military administration, Serhii Haidai, shared the statement in his Telegram channel.

"Russian troops have suffered significant losses, but they are stubbornly attacking from the Popasnaya direction towards Bakhmut. Russian occupiers have concentrated their main forces in the Bakhmut direction. But the way to the city lies through the strong defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Luhansk land," he noted.

According to Haidai, the moral and psychological state of the Russians is disturbed, due to the fact that their offensive does not have the expected success.

"With the acquisition of long-range artillery by Ukrainian Armed Forces, it is now difficult for Russian occupiers to fall asleep, because they may not see the dawn. Like yesterday in Pervomaisk. They will find only ashes instead of a warehouse with weapons. In addition, they lose fighters and equipment every day during their numerous attacks," -  said the head of the military administration .

So, on August 1, Russian enemy delivered two powerful rocket strikes - a total of eight rockets were fired. Four airstrikes on populated areas were also recorded. Russian troops used artillery support seven times, mortars were used twice, and tanks were involved.

"After several hours of artillery fire, Russian occupiers go on the offensive. In the past day, seven attempts of the kind were repulsed. Russian enemy was forced to withdraw in these directions. The armed assistance of Western partners helps demoralize Russian forces," Haidai added.
